SUMMARY:FTC Team Night at the DCU Center
DESCRIPTION:Join FTC Team 12566 for an unforgettable evening on December 2nd as we embark on an exciting mission to transform the DCU Center. We are on the lookout for 4-6 enthusiastic FTC teams to join us at the DCU Center\, where we aim to create a vibrant atmosphere filled with FTC\, FRC\, and FLL teams. \nIn the heart of the action\, we will be showcasing our remarkable robots just before the puck drops\, capturing the attention of everyone in attendance. But that’s not all – teams will also have the opportunity to sell game tickets to parents\, friends\, and supporters\, with each ticket sale earning your team a $5 profit. It’s important to note that anyone participating in the robot demonstration will need to purchase tickets as well. \nThis event serves a dual purpose – not only as a fundraiser for our team but also as a fantastic team bonding experience\, all while enjoying a fun and social night at the game. Join us in making a difference and creating lasting memories at the DCU Center! \nContact Marcus Fletcher at: marcusjfletcher@gmail.com

SUMMARY:Java for FTC
DESCRIPTION:During our three-week camp campers will learn how to program in Java and use Java to control a FIRST Tech Challenge robot. By the end of the 3 weeks\, campers will program the robots to both move autonomously\, based on sensor input\, as well as to operate based on input from a remote control. To participate in this camp\, campers must complete Learn Java (from Codecademy)\, a free programming course before the first day of the camp. This preparatory work could take 15-20 hours\, depending on experience level\, so please plan ahead. This camp teaches specific skills needed to program as a part of a FIRST Tech Challenge team\, but is also fun and valuable by itself. Space is limited. \nTaught by: Waring Robotics Summer camps are staffed by alumni and current members of Wolfpack Machina\, Waring’s varsity FTC team. Wolfpack Machina holds the world record high score for the FTC\, Ultimate Goal (2020-2021) season. It’s members also hold the world record high score for the City Shaper season of FLL (2019-2020). They love robotics and are passionate about sharing
