Greetings 2021-2022 FIRST Tech Challenge Teams!
It was brought to my attention that the date (November 29) in the body of the email I sent earlier regarding Event Registration Opening is wrong.
The date is correct as stated in the Subject Line: this Friday, October 29 at 7:00 pm EST. Many apologies for any confusion.
I also want to add that the registration process will allow each team to select two (2) preferences for Round One Events; the events in Round One will comprise January 8/9 and January 15/16 events and two (2) preferences for Round Two Events; the events in Round Two will comprise January 29 and February 5/6th events.
The following Event Registration conditions apply, and are stated in the Event Participation Policy document that will be available when registration opens:
1.) Qualifying Event registration is conducted with a central, online registration system located at the Boston Tech Initiative website at: https://bostontechinitiative.org/events/
2.) Registration is first come, first served to teams in Massachusetts only. Out-of-state teams will not be allowed to participate in Massachusetts events this season.
3.) Registration priority may be given for special circumstances. Contact the Massachusetts FIRST Tech Challenge Program Delivery Partner, Deb Rose, at firstname.lastname@example.org, to request registration priority. Special circumstances include, but are not limited to:
b. One coach for multiple teams that must attend the same event.
c. Transportation issues: Teams traveling 2 or more hours and sharing rental/school bus.
