Event Preferencing Opens Tomorrow 10/18 5:00 PM EST/BTI Team Announcement/Seeking Event and Technology Manager and Head Referee

Oct 17, 2023 | 2023-2024 BTI Team Email Blasts

Greetings FTC Team Mentors!
Event Preferencing Opens Tomorrow 10/18 at 5:00 pm EST.
I will send the URL to the registration page tomorrow.
This will be a dedicated email with just the registration URL, so please keep an eye out for it.
**Rookie Teams and new Mentors of Veteran teams – Please read about Event Preferencing here**:
Event Preferencing is how you will register your team(s) for their Scrimmage and Qualifier events.
Scrimmages:
  • If you intend on going to a Scrimmage (optional practice event) you will do so via the registration flow process
  • There is no charge to attend a Scrimmage
Qualifiers:
  • You will select two (2) preferred Qualifier (competition) events from both the “Round 1” and “Round 2” drop-down menu options provided in the registration flow process.
  • All teams are required to play at both a Round 1 and Round 2 event, i.e., a team cannot just preference for a Round 2 (later in the season) event.
  • You will be placed into your events once our BTI team has had a chance to review all preference requests; generally this is completed no later than a week from preferencing
  • You will receive a confirmation email from us indicating into which events your team has been placed with an invoice to follow.
Invoicing Update:  BTI has a new accounting firm, Crowe, LLP who will be managing all invoicing this season. Every team will get an invoice once they have been confirmed in their events.  Teams will have the option to still pay by check or via Bank Routing/ACH directly with Crowe.  These options are fee free.   We are also working on a Credit Card option, but this may have a fee associated with it, and we will communicate that once determined.
BTI Team Announcement:
I am also writing today to let you know that Wayne will not be continuing with us this season.
Our BTI team is beyond indebted and grateful for everything Wayne has done over these past 2 years helping BTI get off the ground, working with our multitude of FTC teams, and delivering our high-quality events.
I want to personally thank Wayne for the countless and often very late-night hours he put in to provide guidance and support as I navigated unknown territory in my new role as partner.  We have shared many laughs amongst the hard work and this will be greatly missed.
Thank you Wayne for everything!
