Greetings 2021-2022 FIRST Tech Challenge Teams,
We made the difficult decision tonight, with input from our Round 1 Event Hosts, to reschedule the upcoming January 8th and 9th (Andover High School), January 15 (Canton High School), and January 16 (Natick High School) events due to the unprecedented spread and transmissibility of the COVID-19 Omicron variant.
Our Round 2 events (January 29, and February 5th and 6th) are NOT impacted.
Our Round 1 Event Hosts will be working with their school administrations starting tomorrow to secure new dates, and we will share them with you as soon as they are known. They will not be before January 29th.
Our goal continues to be to deliver In-person play – safely – and we feel this is the most viable path forward to allow us to do so.
We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we work to put together our plan for these impacted events.
